Hey everyone,

well my 82' 280zx is almost in near perfect mechanical condition ( WOO HOO ) One of the last few problems is my exhaust.


I know i have a leak in there somewhere, and upon a quick inspection ( not put up on lifts just listening ) its on/near my catalytic converter. Now, no shop in the area will do anything with the cats except replace them. And i don't want that. If it is going to come off at all, its not going to be to put another cat on there.

However, from what i understand they do not sell test-pipe kits anymore. So, what can i do? does anyone have a test pipe for a 280zxT? Anyone know where i can find a high flow cat? I check the local discount auto/ 1stop auto, and nada on either.

summit racing has the high flow cat. but i would go without it if the law let you. The cat can make your car run hot.
The test pipe is just a pipe with two flenges on each end. you can make one

2 questions on that last responce. What are flenges....and how can i make them? thanks
