my engine has been vibrating at about 1500 rpm. then it goes away. this is while standing still, so it is obviously not a driveline vibration. but it only does it at about 1500 rpm. any ideas what it could be? Thanks,NB

could be your harmonic bal. is starting to separate ,or come loose.did you ever take it off? if so maybe you didn't retighten it's bolt enough.have you replaced flywheel,pressure plate or clutch?

yes I just recently changed the pressure plate and clutch. how can that be off? how do i fix it? is it bad to be driving with it like that? thanks. oh and no I havent taken the harmonic balancer off. Thanks...NB

take a good look at the balancer.it's two pieces of steel with rubber sandwitched imbetween.eventually the rubber dries up and there is play between the two steel pieces.might be your vibration,might not. just wondering if you tightened pressure plate/clutch bolts enough. how about block/ bellhousing bolts? frankp
