ok i know i already asked basicly the same question but it looks like im actualy going to do this and i was hopeing i could get some more detailed information.
im going to get a 1980 280zx 2+2 but want a 240z and i have a chance to get a 240z with a bad engine for really cheep. i want to put the engine from the 280zx into the 240z now i understand that this is just a bolt in mod. but that if i keep the fuel injection i will have to change some other stuff. my 3 questions are, if i keep the injectors what will i have to change, if i use the carburators in the car (stock 1972) how hard is it to switch to the carbs, and last but not least what is the big diffrence bettween the injectors and carbs in performance. thanks for all the info.

To switch to FI you'll have to get a gas tank from a 75-76 280Z. You also need everything form the 280ZX including the fuel pump. To go with the carbs you'll need an electric fuel pump(don think you cant use a mechanical on an FI head) and everything else should go on just like it went on orginal motor.

Search the acrives to confrim these things I'm writing this from memory of what I've read on this forum.

The SUs and manifoulds will bolt right up to the 280 engine keep the electronic ignition .. One big thing is where do you live because the emissions police most likely jump all over you .. Look into that before you jump. But the swap is stright forward and has been done aplenty. Gary Portland Ore. it works vary well also.
