Hello all. I have bought an 82zx it runs really good but the body is shot so I am pulling the motor out to put in my 78zx it all basically looks the same accept for a few small thing. Does anyone know of any problems I should have ? Should I keep the vacuum canister from the 82 or will the old long bottle work the same.
I welcome all comments and insights you might have. I am really good at body work and such. The engine swap is new to me but I really want to try it..
p.s if any one in the middle tennesse area needs doors or a hood for cheap let me know hahaha

everything is identical for the most part, what is different wont matter. Take the following from the 83

Block/head/frontcover all assembled

make sure you use these from the 78

distributer/altrenator

the alt is questionable...i havent compared the wiring....but the distributers are two types the later has a pickup module w/ connector while the 78 is hard wired
