alright. i found out that i may have droped a rod in my 280zx na. in order to fix it i have to remove the engine. i read the manual and have gotten almost all the way there. just want some extra tips when pulling it out w/transmission and clutch on it.

also my budjet doesnt cover a full rebuild and i was told i can just do one piston (the busted one) but its not normaly suggested but has worked many times. im sure i would have to get that cylender machined and stick a new piston in there. how much should this cost? and is it a pain or not that hard?

thanks.

will

If you have it out and apart, why not rebuild?

By the time you have the engine/tranny out and open the engine to get the one piston out, you are better off just to do a quick rebuild. I mean, take out the pistons, have the cylinders rebored and honed, put on new rings and seals and be done with it.

It will cost you almost as much just to do one piston.
