The engine just after it was pulled from the car.

Off comes the valve cover

Off comes the manifolds

off with the head

out comes the crank

the parts in my buddie's truck

Here's what the cylinder's looked like after being honed

This is me pounding in my pistons

On with the head

In goes the cam

On goes the valve cover... looks good eh?

Engine sitting on the stand

My buddie kyle who helped me with the whole thing

The motor ready to drop in

Installed.... how's it look?

Wow, great job (did it run after you put it back in?) Just kidding, if the rest of the car looks as good as the engine that will be one fine ride. Computer...too...slow....

Looks Great!

Myles,

You made it look like you did it all in one day! Good job, how come that engine is not going inside a 240Z? You would haul @$$ with a turbo engine inside a 240Z, or a 280Z. Anyways you made it look too easy and let us know how everything turned out.

p.s. think you've inspired us all to pull out a L series engine and rebuild it:)

Re: Looks Great!

yeah I knew you guys would say something about the ropes...

I didn't have a chery picker, so I pulled my car into my garage and used a come-a-long to pull out the motor

worked great....
