There are two good shops out in the West fort Worth area. Rocky's Garage and Rising Sun Performance. Both shops know the Z intimately and will do a good job. Before you use anyone though be sure and get references of people that they have done the same type work for.

Just out of curiosity, how much would that set me back? As I live in the DFW are as well and am still debating on rebuild for my '78. I'm not looking to go totally trick out, just a little mod here and there. I have seen you post on these guys before and you seem to be one of the more knowledgable people around here. Thanks for the all the info.

Jim, Alamo Autosport on Colorado there in Arlington rebuilt an '81 turbo motor for my '78. I highly recommend this nationally recognized facility, BUT they are extremely busy due to their reputation gained from magazine exposure. Call 860-4300 for details.
