I assume you mean UNINTENTIONALLY, right?

I have accidently put a quart too much oil in other vehicles (not your model) with no problems. Others here are more expert than I when describing what could happen in terms of blow off, pressure, etc.

To be on the safe side, I would get under the car and drain it off.

Drain off the excess. A 1 quart overfill is usually not a probelm. Anything more than that and you can damage the engine.

I saw an extreme example where someone filled an engine to the filler cap (I think about 23 quarts) and then started the car. Broke two connecting rods and blew the oil pan right off the engine.

My stupid brother-in-law drained the transmission and put 6 qts in the engine . Started the engine to see if the filter was leaking , had oil going every where blew the dipstick out and squrted oil like a fountan and then called me to find out what the **** happened . I was laffing so hard I couldent breath, now I know where the term died laffing came from . Drain the oil , its not worth the gamble ,what are you talking about less than $10.00 , just chalk it up and move on. Gary Portland Ore. Good luck
