Has anyone ordered the complete engine gasket kit from MSA? Is there any other places that I can find cheaper? I think its listed as $109.95 at MSA. What is the quality of the gaskets from MSA? I have a 72 240 and planning on rebuilding the orginal engine (L26, P30, and E88). This engine just needs a rebuild and while doing the rebuild is there anything that I could do to put a little more power into it? I'm just going to get a new mild cam, lash pads, and headers along with the other necessary parts. I know I should go with the L28, P90, and N42 but this is what I have now so keeping it cheap as possible. Hopefully, i could get it into the 160hp range. I was thinking of just polishing my intake with a dremel and matching my gaskets. Let me know what u think of the MSA gaskets and any tips I could do to make 150-180hp range. Off course more is better but its a L26.
Thanks

if you have a 72 240 the L26 is not the original engine. the original engine would be an L24 2.4 ie 240Z. L26 2.6 ie 260Z and so on. and actually you could bore the L26 out to a 2.8 without any ill affects. and stay with your E88 head but get the bigger valves intake and exhaust, so you can use that power you will now have.

felpro makes really good gasket sets that you can still buy at your local parts store depending where you are. jaymes
