Hi Steve,

I know two 240Zs with the Tech 2 setup. It works really well, but for full throddle performance, triple carbs get you the same thing for much less $$$. The Electromotive system gives you tunability, better fuel economy, and something to brag about, all for about $3000 minimum. I would not consider it unless you are turbo charged or have a show car and you want the look. But either way, good luck

This is the type of misinformation that Z owners dont need. A TEC-II does not cost $3000, but more like $1800 and there are alternatives that are even less expensive. And, if Z owners are looking for just fuel management, an excellent system can be had for about $850 that is complete, replaces the factory ECU and injector harness, eliminates the AFM and provides all the benefits you stated. MOF, have 240/260 owners looking to go triple carbs considered the following alternative? Get an intake with injectors and fuel rail and the fuel pump from a 75+Z and use an aftermarket fuel management system. Better yet, get the entire engine and gain the torque from the extra cc. Triple carbs are not cheap, I know, I just sold a complete set. Carbs, manifold, special linkage, air filters, fuel lines and fittings, fuel pump and highly recommended FPR all add up, not to mention the special synch tool needed if you want to drive the car. A 280ZXT can make over 260hp with the stock injectors and FPR, more if you get up to 50psi, making the EFI setup enough to motivate any N/A.
Everyone has their favorites but alternatives should not be misrepresented.

Hi Steve, the tec-2 system is an excellant system if you are going to turbo your car. I have a 73 240 thats turbocharge stock motor with a small t3 and the car runs mid 12's without slicks.Ask anyone with a good running turbo 240 (big difference . Tec-2 run about 1250.00 with all the sensors.
