has anyone here replaced the harness with the engine in the car?

Also, finally got my rad out today, 120k service in slow motion.

2nd, wouldn't wanna try it. Firewall access isn't the greatest... I don't even know if it's possible. You can remove all the connectors with the motor in the car, but getting it out of and back through the firewall to the ECU and such is the question.

I think its possible, but it would be a helluva lotta work. Lots of time spent snaking it around in the engine bay, lots of time.

lol, God knows heat shielding isn't important with the engine harness!! I think the heat baking is one of the biggest cause your the harness failures

as much as I hate to agree with red I do, While it is not preferred that you remove the clamps and the few bits of al shielding, I dont think its going to make or brake your harness. I mean the real cause of the harness failure is the heat on the connectors, not the actual loom.
