I have an early 260 with the original smog manifold, but with early roundtop SU's swapped on by the p.o. in place of the flattops (thankyou p.o.).

My question is: Is there a performance difference between the earlier non-smog 240 intake, and the '74 260 intake manifold? The guys at ZTherapy seem to think the 260 manifold flows better (and they are the SU gods, are they not?)

I asked this same question about a month ago and if you search back you can get your answer.. Yes it does flow alittle better but has all that smog crap on the manifold.

I've never seen numbers, but I would assume the 260 version flows better as it was designed to work on a larger displacement engine.

What you do is use the 260 runners, and replace the balance tube with a 240 version.
That's what I did on mine.
