I am going up to seattle today to look at a block a guy hd pro done has forged pistons and the other goodies,(post dated dec 30 hoilday special)What do you guys think.My thought is under normal conditions (dry & covered)Blockshould be unaffected stting for 4 years.Seems like a decent deal and anda good start toward turboing my 240!

If the cylinders aren't rusted it should be ok. I've seen that ad and it's a great deal. If I lived close enough to pick it up it would have been gone a long time ago!

I was told by a guy, that if your block had been sitting for a long time put about a table spoon or two of transmission oil in the spark plug holes to lube from the top of the pistons. I am not sure if this can be much help to you. Maybe someone can verify that statement?
