The Bendix drive on my starter is funky, Does not engage the starter or cranks the motor over a couple of times then disengages and just spins. Is there any repair that can be done to fix this, lube something etc, or should i just change the starter out......... Tom82zx

anything "funky" needs to be changed

or maybe some old spice would help you out some.

I second the ghost here...just how far from home and family do you want to be when the starter goes for good ? Would it be after the auto stores close and it's raining?
