Bought a 1980 zx parts car today, in hopes of transplanting the FI system onto my 72. I got all the wiring off, but some of the wires attached to the distributor run off behind the fender. Im wondering if these wires go to the ecu. I was under the impression the distributor had nothing to do with the rest of the FI system. Is this true? What about on a 75 system? Im thinking about getting one of those too. Thanks,

The Blue wire on the ignition module goes to the '-' side of the coil and the Brown wire goes to the '+' side of the coil.
The Black wire goes to ground on the Dizzy and the Yellow wire goes to the Gauge Temerature Sending Unit.
You may or may not have a wire in the same bundle that goes to the Water Temperature Switch for the Fuel Injector Cooling Fan.
The Water Temperature Sender and the ThermoTime Switch end up in the bundle with the Fuel Injector Wiring and that does go to the ECU.
Use the coil from the ZX and bypass the dropping resistor on your car.
