Ok, It's got new plugs, wires, cap, rotor and plugs... going through the checks, everything is alright. The problem is, cyl. 3 and 6 are not firing. If I pull the wire from the cap while it's running and hold the wire away from the cap but close enough (metal to metal) it will spark and the timing light blinks. If I push it in far enough to where the end of the plug actually touches the metal in the cap, it stops blinking. Oh... I'm so confuuuuuused!! By the way, it's a 74 260... the block and distributor are L28.

Been out there tinkering... just can't figure it out, watch it be one of those "embarrassingly obvious" things you guys are always talking about... By the looks of it, there's more people stumped than just me.... Sheesh.

Hmmm... It seems I've fixed it. I swapped plug 5 and plug 6... now it all works fine. Yep, I'm confused... but what the ****, it worked!
