I have a 280z distributer. I noticed there are two adjustment screws, one is for the advancment and retardent, what is the other for. IT turns the distributer cap. Which one do i mess with. Which does what. WHat should my timing be. Thanks
I always considered one of them a "coarse" and the other a "fine" adjustment. Setting the coarse one (the one without the timing marks towards the back) should be done as to get a good working range for the "fine" adjustment in the front.
Don't know if this is true, but thats what I use it for. If you find you run out of adjustment, you might try using the other adjustment, then resetting the fine.
Anyone else? (BTW - this was my "not bothering to look it up" answer)
