The 370Z and 350Z forums have certainly been very slow lately. Any suggestions for how to increase activity on each?
I dont think there are many Z34 owners on this site, Ill try to start posting here more :)
Thanks Candy. I'd post more on the 370Z forum too if there were more 370Z owners coming over here.
 ya.....this site is getting real boring....I make post and nobody replies........ :'(
well.. if you look at the traffic of the other portions its' mostly problems.. How do i fix this, how can i get around that.. the 350 and 370 are pretty new.. shouldn't have that many problems yet lol
Yeah... This forum will be rocking with posts in 2030.
maybe god is punishing the 370z forums of the world for this...

Lemme guess. Thought they put it in reverse, but actually put it in drive.
no clue, but if i had to guess i'd say that 370z sacrificed itself to pay for the sins of every other Z.

ouch!! holy bejesus!
I think it has died because of the hideous catfish mouthed with fins looking 370. I believe many like me are perfectly happy with the 350 and it's looks. I want a newer model Z, mine is an 03, but I will wait for Nissan to come to their senses and realize the awful nose, and that hideous, tacked on looking red panel dash display.The370 needs a major makeover, and then perhaps the enthusiastic buyers will return, and the boards once again become more active, a few more HP is not enough to motivate me to buy something that looks like it came forth from a primordial swamp.

that's cool. Go ahead and keep your outdated looking and underperforming 350z while the rest of us enjoy our 370z. I mean seriously, do you really think your post was helpful at all?

The facts of why this board is dead:
1. Nissan only sells about 10k 370z's per year which means there are roughly only 30k 370z's currently out there. Compared to the fact that the 350z sold over 30k Z's it's first year. Blame it on the economy, blame it on the style, or whatever you want but numbers are numbers. There just aren't a lot of 370z's around. Good for us owners as it keeps resale high compared to the over abundant and low resale value of the 350z. As well giving you a unique factor in that you aren't seeing your same car over and over again everywhere you drive.

2. There are better, faster, and more popular boards for the 370z. This is a popular board with Z enthusiasts, but more so for the older generation cars. It's the same with the 350z board on this site versus say my350z dot com.

3. Also a lot of us old timers (I'm still in my 20's) who have been on this board since near the beginning of it's start up have moved on due to all the newbs who refuse to search for answers that have already been asked dozens of times or for ******* like posts similar to the one posted above. I still check back here from time to time but a lot of the "regulars" have slowly drifted off to other forums as time has gone by.

4. lastly, this forum just doesn't have the flash and awe factor that some of the other boards have. I mean when you compare the other Z boards to this one, this one falls short and is plain. The content of the posts may be decent but you have to have something to draw people in.

Just some observations. This site is definitely my go to site if I have issues with my 280z or 300zx, which I haven't had in years, knock on wood. However for my 370z I go else where.

280z/300zx,

I agree with most of your comments. However, as someone who still has a 350Z and who recently sold a 370Z I think I have a unique perspective on the two cars. While the 370Z is certainly an improvement over the 350Z in many areas it does have it's negatives too. Some of my gripes with the 370Z include lack of headroom and legroom as compared to the 350Z, a less refined engine than the 350Z, oil temp issues and brake cooling issues.

I also think the economy as well as pricing for the 370Z has a huge impact on the number of 370Zs sold. There is a much smaller overall market now for sports cars than there was in the hayday of the 350Z because many people now can't afford a sports car. The same economic conditions also make resale of a 370Z currently more difficult. The cars are just hard to sell, especially higher end versions. I know because I just sold mine a month ago. A used 350Z by contrast is a relative bargain.

Are the 2012 370z out yet and what is new selling point?
I just searched on autotrader and found only one 2012 Nissan 370Z listed for sale in the entire country. So I guess yes they are available, just not sure how many at this point. Plenty of 2011s available though.

they are just not selling --less than 11000 in 2010
Not surprising that there aren't many 370Zs being purchased given the current economic conditions.
