im in the process of taking off the crank pulley to get to the timing belt. i was wondering if the threads for the pulley are reversed or not. im in a hurry so i posted before i searched but i am fixing to do a quick one now.

use a 1/2 inch drive impact gun.. thats the best way.

im taking for granted that you couldnt get it loose, thats why ya ask which direction the threads were.. if you are just curious, sorry for making assumptions. good luck regardless.

I dont belive there are any reverse threads on our cars, and im positive the crank pulley bolt is not reverse. If you dont have an Impact driver just use a metal pipe for more leverage.

thanks... and yes pavement you assumed correct... my dad used the impact gun and it can right off. i appriciate the endless bounds of knowledge on this board... with out every ones help i would still be kicking myself in the ass tryin to figure out if it was reversed or not.
