Could someone tell me what these connections are and where they go.

The first one is part of the main harness but it sits on the driver side of the engine. Slightly above the air intake hardpipe and just behind the black box on the driver side throttle intake. It is one of those slip on connections with the metal clip that slides on it to hold it on. I don't even see any place that it slips onto either.

The other connection is on the underside of the motor. Its a rather big connection, its yellow and its on the driver side bottom. Just a little torwards the middle above the steering rack.

Might be easier if you could post some pictures?

For your 1st question: There's only two spring clip connectors in that area (as I recall?) -- either for the TPS (black box on side of Throttle Body) or the CAS (round saucer shaped silver disc) on front side of engine just under the Throttle Body.

No idea on your 2nd question...

Umm, no the first one is the same style as like say the two that connect to the AIV or EGR solenoid, always a square style and it doesnt reach to the throttle box anyways. It comes up about an inch or two short behind it.
