Nismoparts.com sells a counterweighted crank for the L28. How many of you guys out there have a counterweighted crank and how effective is it. Thanks

All L6 cranks are counterweighted. They are all very effective.

Agree...

All are counterweighted except some early early L24's that weren't fully counterweighted. I don't think the counterweighting is the selling point of the NISMO part, just a discriptive item...

Uh guys....

The Z cranks are not FULLY counterweighted as there are no weights on the #2 and #5 rod journals.

I thought it was a fully counterweighted unit...
What were the early 70 units, I thought those were the ones missing two weights.
Either way, I've not needed a "fully counterweighted crankshaft" then up to 8500rpm and three seasons on the crank.Stock L28, comp prepped...

The Arizona Z sells full counter crank for about 4K!!!
I guess 8 counter wieght is good enough for a street car : )
