I have noticed several inquires in regard to compression ( cylinder), lately .

I need to know exactly how much pressure ( psi) is needed in the cylinders in my 1975 280z- l28 engine.. we are in the process of a COMPLETE UPDATE OF THE MOTOR and I have called several places including NISSAN and have yet to receive an answer... Do you have one for hot and then one for cold?

I have another question, but will do some more research for that one!!!

Thanks a million.....

James,

Straight from the 1975 76 FMS :

Compression pressure (psi) 164 -178 at 300 rpm:

Should be performed hot for best results, however the times I have done a cold prior to Vlv. adj. it registers approximately 20 psi lower ( 158 psi )
