Hi all I was testing the compression on my junk yard motor that is
giving me touble, but any way I digress( I always wanted to say that)
I tested all 6 holes warm with the throttle open and I got 190 in all 6
now this seems a little on the high side , considering my 240 motor was
150 tops any ideas or is this normal or is there some thing else in this can
of worms I have I thank you all in advance for the input

There are a few things that contribute to compression pressure. Good rings and valves is the main thing but cam timing also affects this. 190psi is very good and if I were you I would not complain. This means that you probably have a fairly sound motor. What are the problems you are having? Maybe we can help.
