k i have a n/a 81zx and when my car is parked at school all day it idles at about 1500rpms..i was wondering if that is fine or too high....

How long does it take to get down to a normal idle of 700 RPM?

o maybe a couple of minutes...also what is a good range for a normal idle?

god **** thats dangerous.. if that thing slips into gear while youre in class and it drives itself around youll wish you shut it off.. sorry i had a tough day today..if you let it warm up then kick the throttle little and it comes down to 800 or 900 then youre on the money.. all cars rev high when cold until they warm up and operate normally.. except mine.. its junk.. the VW i take to work i mean.. my z's perfect.. the choke in the early z's raises the idle to 1500 or so then when its warm you let it out and it goes down.. new cars do this on their own cuz people are dumb. and i think its kinda heard to get a z to idle at 700 rpms.
