about 4 months ago i put in a new motor with a new clutch in my 240.
after about 400 miles it would grab at full engagment. So i ajusted the slave cylinder pushrod and it was fine. but only for 2 weeks, then i had to ajust it a little further. for the past 2 months iv been continuously lengthening the push rod untill now, thier is NO freeplay in the rod, it it tight up against the clutch fork and it STILL starts grabbing at full engagement.

whats wrong? is my slave ro master cylinder shot? is thier any way to increase the throw of the rod?

PS: its a stock OEM clutch, and i bled the fluid about a week ago.

Fluid loss.

Or your fluid could just be bad. First check to see if the slave cylinder is leaking, or the hose. Then check your master to see if it is leaking. It may leak where you can't see it (inside the cabin).

Try bleeding your clutch, using new fluid to flush out the old. Then monitor the level. If it falls, you have a leak.

your soposed to use dot3 right?

it doesnt look like the level has gone down, (if it did, i didnt notice) but as i flushed out the sytem couple weeks ago, the fluid is already turbing dark again, from light yellow.

also, the inside cabin part fo the master cylinder had a very little bit of dot 3 on the rod, but enough to get on my hands.

still any ideas?

It sounds like you have a bad seal in the master cylinder. You're losing fluid but also getting air in there so it doesn't look like it's going down. Try bleeding it again, at least 4 full strokes. If it works good for a couple days then starts to die again, you should try rebuilding the master cylinder.
