I used the Plasticoat paint...
It is a ruberized paint used to coat the handles of tools...
You can get it in a spray can in assorted colors...
Black works very nicely...and lasts a long time...

They do look good flat black

Joe... Dude.....

Black tape 3" wide would look like a hillbilly did it... You wouldn't believe the pictures I see in my mind's eye.... Go for the paint and keep it on the bumpers... I wouldn't want to hear... What's a good way to remove paint off my tires, hood, fenders.... etc.

BTW.. did you fix your leaky master cylinder?

You can get this stuff at any farm implement dealer. It's used to coat tool handles and such. The name escapes me right now but I have seen my relatives use this stuff and really works. Should hold to chrome.

I did it on my car

It looks great, i used some self etching primer after i sanded the **** out of the chrome. For the topcoat i used rustoleum outdoor paint, satin black. I preferr the satin to flat black. This helped hide my dented bumpers and looks great. I did the door handles the same way and the paint is sticking well!!!

Good luck- Evan
