Wish I live there but never liked Rt hand drive.
I loved living in Japan for one of the reasons the photographer mentioned: they were car enthusiasts...REAL enthusiasts. Rain did not deter the meetings, they came. They drove. They hung out and had a good time. It was a refreshing thing to be with real car guys who loved the car and were going to enjoy them, come **** or a little bit of water.

I wish there were more like them, **** MSA had rain ONE time in 10 years and half the people didn't show. It drizzled for half an hour during setup, and the rest of the day was grand. Have seen it countless times in the USA where people puss-out of an event using rain as an excuse. I remember someone once asking Greg Smith at MSA 'what is the rain date?' and Greg just looked at the guy with a puzzled look (this was the third or fourth year of the show...) Then he kind of laughed it off, and said 'Rain or Shine, the show will be...'

Sometimes, I think people look for excuses not to participate in things rather than TO participate in them. Sad, really...

I'm bummed because I will be in Shanghai and likely miss the Yokohama Nostalgia Days show due to work commitments. I'm pushing hard to finish everything early and have a flight booked for Friday evening...if only I can get my Distributor in Japan to commit to the dates, it will be all 'official' and I can fly there to attend for free.

RHD never bothered me, it was the way the car was designed to be, and the RHD cars are generally better balanced and faster. Not opinion, based on hard facts. Especially in the 1/4 mile with no LSD---the drivers weight is on the correct side for harder launches in an RHD car than the LHD Variant...
