Check light on, reads “stop”

Title says all, any idea as to what this could be? Its in my 1981 280zx.

it came on a little bit ago, but the owner’s manual wasn’t provided so im just asking here.

Mine does that too, it's the tail/brake light. One of my bulb sockets is broken so it thinks the bulb is blown. Check your brake lights
