The best horses aren't cheap. The answer to your question depends on what Z you have, how many extra horses you want and how much you want to spend.

I swap cylinder heads and camshafts for that extra kick but I have a lot of spare parts to play with.

Hmm, I'd say put a male and female horse in one stall and there you go.
But anyway, the cheapest way is to add a header and free flow aircleaner. It gets expensive from there. It also depends on what car you have. carb type of fuel injection type. You can add a bigger throttle body for not too much money.

> Since you don't list your engine type, follow the old horse analogy. If you want more horses, build a bigger barn. If you are going to use the same barn, build a bigger gate to let more horses in. If you are going to use the same gate, open the gate further. If the gate won't open any wider, then move the things out of the way that slow the horses down.

Here's the old saying.

Question- How fast can I go?
Response-How much money you got?

You can gain a few horspower here and there, but you may never notice a 2 or 5 horspower gain, ecspecially in street driving. Sure you can buy bolt on after bolt on, but there are only a certain number of bolt on parts available for these cars. So, you go to the BIG STUFF.

I speak from MUCH experience, and I can say that it is gonna cost you. BIG.

After all isn't it spelled Haul A$$?

I just wish they had a way of getting more horse without altering the original pieces. My car is just about all showroom original, I would hate to modify it too much. Guess I have to wait for the magic wand treatment or the Genie.

Would be nice. By the, if the Genie shows up, send her my way, I'm having some horrible tranny problems, and she may be the only person who can fix them.
