I was looking at the autopartsgiant.com store and i saw that they had forged pistons made by "perfect circle" for 34.21 a piece. I was wondering if it was an error, typo, or if the company that makes the piston isn't that good. Like quite a few people on here I am rebuilding my 81 zx and I don't want to put crap into it. Some opinions and advice would be much appreciated Thanks.

I don't know how good they are, but Perfect Circle has been in business since (at least) the mid '70's. If they made crap they'd probably be gone by now.

The price doesn't sound all that ridiculously low -- $34/ea = $200/set...

Sounds like the normal price for regular pistons and i do agree it's not cheap for all six of them. However, shouldn't forged pistons be costing more? JE forged pistons are expensive so i was thinking these pistons would be in the same price range. If they are good quality forged pistons then it's a good buy.

I just looked that up and the only thing I could find was a Beck/Arnley cast piston for $46.50 a piece which is typical for what I've seen. A forged piston for $34.21 would be unheard of since they typically run $600+ for a set.

I just looked at the site and the same part number comes up when you look at the forged pistons, or the cast pistons that are listed. I'm thinking its a mistake on their part, and the pistons are just cast pistons.
