No tips on books, but look into a product called POR 15. Its a resin based paint used when there is rust present. It's really durable, and if you get it on you and it dries, it pretty much has to wear off. Thinners wont take it off once it's dry. I plan on painting my suspension parts with it. I've done the interior of one of my cars with it, and then placed the carpeting over it. They have gloss and matte black and silver, along with restoration kits.

thats the system i plan on using on my car when i'm ready...
its, i think, three diff solutions... one for priming... and one for areas that see light... and one for areas that dont...
the one that can be used in light has silver flecks or something in it.. which i dont believe por 15 has.

and it just overall sounds like a good product line.
but the choice is up to you

theyre both good.. but i think with por15... you would need to paint areas that see sunlight.. with some sort of aircraft paint. cause from what i gather.. por15 is "turned off" by sunlight.

i could be misinformed... but who knows..
restoration paint's for me!

ps.. sorry if i sound like an infomercial...
