anyone ever seen that? a guy on ebay is selling a beautiful valve cover
that looks chrome plated. what is this stuff?

not too expensive

25-40$ for a valve cover. not bad. beats the cost of those highly polished ones
on ebay. i wonder how this stuff holds up

They also put that stuff on pistons! I think you'd probably like it, if they did the coating procedure correctly. You're not supposed to get it too thick, according to the instructions on the jar. You can polish the stuff with steel wool!
