Hi, I have a '76 280Z and I have this problem. I will drive along for a bit and the car will all of the sudden stop accelerating. I replaced the fuel filter and it kept happening. So then, I replaced the fuel pump. When I put the pump in the car ran fine for about 20 minutes then it stopped. Then engine turns over but won't start. Someone said that it could be the brain box and that when it gets hot that it is shutting off. Please help me.

This may be a long shot but I had this one happen with a Toyota I once owned. The oil pressure sender that told the fuel pump to run would switch off after awhile of running. Try disconnecting the plug on the pressure sender and turning the key to ON and listen for the pump.
A long shot but might be worth checking.
