what are your opinions on what cam to use with triple webers.
My setup is an F54 Block, E88 early head w/ stock cam, 280zx elec ignit., 6-2 headers w/ free flow exhaust, and the triple 40mm webers.

I heard that the stock cam may not cut it when using Triples. Low end power not too great. Some sort of lag or late response is experienced.

I've started the engine up in the course of the restoration/modification project and she sounds killer. Haven't been able to test drive since I'm working on other ends of the car (mainly interior is left) and rear lights (using corvette lens setup mod).

I've got basically the same setup...triple webers, 6-2-1 header, and I just put in a new schneider racing cam. The cam made all the difference in the world. It pulls like a stocker to 4000, and then it takes off like a rocket, revving cleanly to 7,000. The cam is a 230/240 @.050" duration, .460" lift, 108 degree LSA. I definately reccomend you put in a new cam...don't forget new rockers and springs unless you just enjoy installing new cams all the time. Email me and I'll help you find the right suppliers...things like rocker arms can cost between 12 and 40 apeice depending on where you look. I used a cam with my triple setup with these specs:
Lift: .460
Duration: 288

I got the cam from www.deltacamshaft.com ( i think I have the URL right)--fairly cheap too
