"Breaking In" Re-Built Engine - Oil and Other Suggestions?

We will be re-building a turbo engine to swap into my 1983 280zx. After it's all back together, tuned up, etc., what are the proper / steps to break it in? Oil to use, oil change frequency for the first ________ miles, etc?

I don't know off the top of my head, but I'm sure it's in the FSM.

Check out datsunzgarage.com, then under cylinder head time line. Looks to be a lot of good information on rebuilding a engine etc.

OK, I've learned to go to FSM to look up service things, but for some reason didn't think about looking there for a break in regimen. Point made!

Let me know the exact section & page you find a rebuilt engine break in routine in the FSM that specifically states actions to take for "break in" only.

Wouldn't the normal driver's manual have a section that talks about break-in? Because the normal person who purchased the vehicle new would need to know such info...
