On my 71 240Z I've trouble shooted a brake fluid leak down to the rear brake cylinders both sides. Parts are on order! But the question is this. I've been told that the rear master cylinder resevior is for the front brakes only. Is this true. Just does not make sense. Thanks in advance for all your technical expertise.

There will be an F and an R cast on the side of the M.C.
On '70-'71s, the front res. is on the front of the mc.
'72-? the REAR res. is on the front of the mc. Who knows why.

Whe you bleed your brakes note which reservoir drops on the master cylinder drops in brake fluid level. On my 71 240Z the rear MC reservoir fluid level drops when I bleed the rears and vice versa.
