I have a '75 280Z and would like to hear about better brakes that (hopefully) bolt on. I have heard some rather incomplete tales of later model brakes being adaptable but only with strut carrier changeover. That would be easy enough too, but, which model/year?

Thanks for your help!

toyota 4x4 brakes from 79 to 83 have 4 piston calipers and bolt right on with a minor trimming of the backing plate. check www.zhome.com and search the index for complete instructions.

I have got your fix!!!

The toyota calipers are the way to go. But...the best kit for the rear is to use 79-81 calipers and rotors along with a bracket that I make. I can get you more info on the kit that I offer if you are interested.

Re: I have got your fix!!!

Eric,
I am interested in your rear brake conversion kits. I have about five sets of those calipers, I just need the bracket. Actually, if I had the dimensions, a sketch, I would just machine it myself, I do have access to an end mill and already have the material. Are yours aluminum or steel? PLease send a price also.
Thanks,
Joshua L.
