Hey guys I've read somewheres that there is a vaccum hose attached to the stock boost gauge of the 280zx turbo (mines an 83) For those who remember I swapped my electronic-o-crap for the 130mph cluster...and ever since then my boost gauge would spike to the red side and stay there. I'm wondering if it's because of this hose...funny thing is I don't remember seeing anything attached to the gauge other than wires. Anyone know what's up? Thanks.

There is a vacuum hose connected to a sending unit on the drivers side of the engine compartment that gets the pressure from the intake manifold and sends an electronic signal to the gauge in the dash. There is a trimmer behind the glove box the adjust the gauge to zero when the car is not running but in the on postion.

BTW the trimmer is in line on a blue/white wire.
The trimmer is incased in a little black tube about 1-½ inches long, and about 5/8 inches wide.
I would put a tie wrap around the black housing before adjusting it.
It has a tendency of opening exposing the trimmer.
Look at it and you will note a hole for adjusting.
When adjusting it’s best not to use a metal tool, I use the flat end of those not round toothpicks.
