Searching for all my old .mss files to migrate all my megasquirt stuff over to the company laptop so I can fire off the 260ZT while watching on a non-XP powered computer, and the .mss files are hiddeen somewhere not obvious. Now I gotta watch that stupid damned dog that looks at my "start" icon in the tray at the bottom of the screen.
I though I migrated the appropriate files, but apparently not!
Have you tried going into the folder/file settings and change it to "show hidden files", then going into the search and do an advanced search for .mss files?
more than just .mss files need to be repopulated, need also the .lyt for megatune ss, and the .msq files...
And it still does similar things on the other computer: if the program is activated without the serial plugged into a box that is "on" it will hog 100% of the CPU trying to communicate with the serial port.
This sucks. I would really like to get this computer working so I could do the settings. I ran it briefly and similarly to the Win2K version, I had none of the "spark problems" unfortunately this is the work laptop, and I can't afford for this program to hog up any of the other settings or my a$$ will be in it with the IT Department.
So don't know what I will do. I would realllllly like to drive the 260ZT conversion---this is the first time I've attached the computer to it since MAY! And it's been almost two years total for the project.
That's kinda what I was doin'!
I listed the required file formats to repopulate it if someone else does it!
I went out with my .msq on the thumb drive, and it needed some .mss.
So I got the mss, and found out I needed .lyt to view in Megatune SS.
So for guys with fuel only, you will need .msq and .lyt
For those of use with MS-n-S, AND some fuel only applications, you will need ALL the file formats: .msq, .mss, .lyt (amongst others for other utilities, also... not the least of which is the s.19 files for the ET4D setup)
Believe me, I searched to find em, and they ARE in hidden files under the programs group if you let the original .exe file start putting things where it was supposed to!
