Alright, for those of you with bodywork knowledge....

A friend of my friend's sister backed up into my car while it was parked And created a basketball sized dend where the 3 body pieces meet just in front of the driverside front wheel.

Its not so much bashed in and pushed in, as she was going pretty slow, and from a quick look behind the wheel well liner it appears as though nothing behind the body panels has been bent.

I got a quote from a local body shop for $1600....to me this seems ridiculous. Anyone know if fixing this required replacement of all the panels, or can it just be pulled?

Beofre you whip out the "this post is worthless without pics" smileys, I don't have a digital camera, so you'll have to use your imagination until I can borrow one.

Was just the fender damaged -- or will some paint work be

required on the bumper cover and hood too?

That may explain the high cost to repair? I'd also go to a 2nd ship and do a comparision.

See - if we had pictures, wouldn't need to ask these questions (me bad!!!) ;-)
