I just made a verbel(or email agreement rather) on a '77 280Z for $400 but the motor has a bad bearing. Heres the good part I have a '83ZXT parts car sitting in my yard. The wiring harness is there but it has some badly frayed wires and several missing and cut ones plus its been sitting in the elements for a few years with no windsheild so the ECU is probably shot. I wanna use the turbo block and head with '77 NA ECU and harness.

I need the bigger turbo injectors and AFM for sure right? what else? Probably need to use the NA distributer cause if I'm not mistaken the turbo one runs off the ECU. Fuel pump maybe?

My next question is could a person who has not done this kind stuff before ge it done right? I've done engine swaps before(once in a 84 cavalier, and several timees with a '64 ford falcon) but never messed with FI.

Thanks for any help I need all I can get.

I bought it off of my uncle summer '99 along with my 80 280ZX, I didnt know anythihng about it. Since then I' ve robbed countless parts and used it to practice on before I attempeted to do it on mine so its pretty ragged. Heres the crappy part the other day when he was here he told me it ran like a top, the only reason he stoped driving it was because the waterpump and starter went out on it. So I basicly screwed up a pretty good car.

Thanks alot you have pretty much answered all my questions your are the man!

Let me get this straight, use the '77 intake, dis., and fuelrail, turbo TB, turbo injectors, and turbo AFM w/ NA guts. That sounds easy enough, I guess the hard part will be the engine swap its self.

Thanks alot!
