hey i have these two big holes in my driver side rocker panel. under the door in front of the rear wheel. now i know that the right thing to do is to weld in metal, but honestly i don't have the money and i don't think i'll have the car much more than a year. what i was wondering about were the fiberglass patch kits. is the fiberglass better than the bondo garbage. i think there is still some good metal to attach it to. also has anyone tried that one step, black rust stuff, and what happened with it.

really appreciate any info.

I used fiberglass on the back 1/4 panels next to the hatch and to cover a rocker repair panel I riveted in. With a lot of work it can be hidden and look stock. I did it two years ago and have had no problems since.

I did mine with fiberglass and bondo looks great but i know what needs to be done. You can buy an instructional bondo vhs tape at pep boys.
