Just installed headers on my car. the egr would not go in properly so it is now completely unplugged. I know that it shouldnt be but i needed my car back so i decided to deal with it. my question is...could the EGR being unplugged cause a bad reading, and somehow develope a miss? Possibly feeding to much fuel and flooded a cylinder causing fouled plugs? Any help would be great!

I don't see how it would since several people put headers that have no EGR at all. I would let the whole just sit open though. I would find a big enough bolt to plug it.

just plug the EGR and see if it makes it any better. FYI some of the EGR gasses go back in to the cylinders and there should be at least one sensor to read EGR. and also pull the codes
