I have an L28 with an N42 head. I want to put the flat top pistons in. Will this be a no brainer swap or will the valves slap the tops?

RE: valve & piston clearance question

Mike, you can put flattop pistons in an L28 block and use a stock N42 head(according to How To Modify your Nissan/Datsun OHC, by Frank Honsewicz), but(always there isn't it!), the compression ratio will be at least 10.75 to 1 and above, depending on how much your head was shaved. Hope this helps.
