After the pipes were welded, they were sandblasted, epoxy-coated and painted. I dont know what type of paint was used but the epoxy-coating was to ensure that the paint would stick even under high temps. Its only been on there for about a month and seems to holding up well. He did my exhaust manifold and there is a big difference in underhood temps compared to my DSM. I strongly recommend to all turbos to do a hi-temp coating on the exhaust manifold because all that heat sinks into the intake and helps defeats the purpose of the I/C.
