I read a while back in this forum that someone was able to convert a stock throttle body with a turbo body to increase air flow by 20% (appx.). it involved putting the stock components into the turbo TB to trick the system to think it is still stock. would this be better than buying the big throat TB?

RE: 76 throttle body to turbo?

That was not a throttle body trick but a Air Flow Meter trick. The guy used a trubo AFM and used some of the guts from a N/A AFM to get more air flow and trick the computer.
You really should get that Weber throttle body first. It really makes a big difference in power. With some fairly minor tweeks you will be able to beat most stock mustangs if you have decent rubber and can get a good launch.
It is a relatively cheap upgrade and is well worth the money.

You're only as good as strong as weakest link!

You can have the biggest TB in the world and it wont do you any good unless you modify the rest of the system to accomadate higher air flow. The TB alone isn't going to do much. Just a thought :)
