Doin the R200 transplant to my '72 240Z(auto), which has the diff mounted rearward by 1.5 inches. My donor is a 77 280Z(manual).

Q1: I measured the overall lengths of the driveshafts and they are identical. If I decide to install the 280Z driveshaft, will it fit to my auto tranny?

Q2: What special tool can remove a rounded off bolt (on the driveshaft flange to diff flange) ?
These are a bear to get to without the diff crossmember removed.

Q3: R200 halfshafts are different lengths...is it the longer or shorter on the passenger (right) side?

Thanks...You guys are good!

RE: 240Z driveshaft removal & q's...

1. The drive shaft will fit.
2. Dremel moto tool, or small grinder.
3. Pass. side is the longer one.

Drop me a mail, I'll send you a good article on these swaps.
