What do you guys think? are they worth it? They do look nice and I've read that the originals aren't that accurate. What about installation? I'm rewiring (almost done w/ Painless harness) so I figure maybe I can do these as well if worth it.
let me know your opinion

....www.jegs.com has very good prices on the Autometers. I ordered mine and
had them in just 2 days. The 2 5/8" fits perfectly in the oem locations in the center of the dash. The 5" Speedo and Tach fit into the other oem locations as well. Check out the installation tips on www.zhome.com. Good luck!

You can get white faces for the stock gauges somewhere...if that is what you are looking for. But the Autometers do look great. How inaccurate are the stock gauges? How hard is it to install the Painless kit? have you thought about writing a tech article for this site? There are a ton of us that are tired of our old wiring and melted out fuze boxes.

thanks

Try Summit Racing they carry all the Auto Meter gauges... Carbon Fiber, Sport-Comp, Ultra-Lite, Pro-Comp, Phantom and Performance... You can search Auto Meters site and get the Numbers from the site and then go to:

http://www.summitracing.com

Then search and order by part number... Just put ATM- in front of the 4 digit AM number and get the pricing and Details... Say you want to see the Carbon Fiber 5" in-dash 10,000 RPM Tachometer you would enter ATM-4898 under part number...

You can find almost any aftermarket web site like painless and find the part number for the headlight Relay for you H4 light you enter PRF-30815 and you get:

PRF-30815 Headlight Upgrade, max power w/direct battery hookup thru a relay $71.95

Which is about 20 buck cheaper then some people have paid for the same thing...

Order a catalog and you can figure out the summit code for other Manf that they use....

BTW

Jegs 5" in-dash 160 MPH Speedo part number 105-4489 Ultra-Lite is $199.99

Summit 5" in-dash 160 MPH Speedo Part number ATM-4495 Ultra-Lite is $112.95

The one Jags shows is Elec and Summit has it also 4 cents cheaper. Jags does not show the Mechanical one that you could prob get by with...

IMO Jags catalog bites next to the Summit
