Auto Trans. years that will directly fit my 1972 z
Have a 72 z with L26 engine and auto trans. It's the wife's car and the trans. is toast. She wants to stay with the Auto. As I begin to go rummaging around for a used one, up to what year can I go up to and still have a straight forward bolt in project without much modification? Thanks

**84 maxima was the last year for rear wheel drive.
Beware, some of the rear wheel drive maximas also had a 4 spd auto and won't work without work and specific parts, flex plate, torque converter, cut tunnel mounts, make brackets etc.
