I have an 81 Auto from a Turbo zx good condition.

I have a 10th anni Auto car in bad condition.

*Will the 81 swap in to the 80 hassel free.

*For that matter will the turbo Rear assemble swap in to the 80, I hate hauling down the highway at 4k rpm, I think my 10th anni has 3.90 and the turbo should have 3.54


OK now for a real twister will the 3.90 rear out of the 80 be a good swap for my 83 turbo 5spd? Or should I leave the 3.54 in my 83.

Your 81 auto trans. will fit but you will have to get the turbo drive shaft and the companion flange to complete the swap into the 80 N/A.

The turbo rear assembly will swap into your 80. If your 80 has an R180 stock then you will need to swap the differential mounting bolt around. this is the 1 big bolt behind the differential. You will need to lift up the trunk mat to flip the bolt around to fit the R200. The R200 is longer than the R180. If you want to use the CV shafts then you will need to swap out the side flanges also.

I don't think 80 280ZX with auto trans has the 3.9 R200.. I believe the 3.9 came with a manual trans.
